Great wolf lodge williamsburg1/27/2024 We took our toddlers here for a few days to get away for a bit. We ended up leaving for another hotel and cancelling the rest of our stay there, mostly due to the hours of children running and jumping overhead. We noticed overflowing trash bins on property but that was true just about everywhere we went on our trip in five states. It's a great location for local attractions like Busch Gardens, there are stores and restaurants nearby but again, that was our last stay there. The check in people were very efficient and I appreciated that. On our wing of the hotel, for the entire wing, there was one operating washer and dryer so if you needed to utilize it, you had to hope to get lucky that it wasn't being used. The water park had several attractions closed, like some slides and the lazy river :( I had looked forward to staying there again but it was a mistake for us. Many families prefered to be on the elevator alone but that left my child and myself stranded for 20 minutes at one point. One of us uses a wheelchair- the side wings of the resort have one elevator so getting anywhere is very difficult considering the number of people trying to use the elevators. The only food options were the restaurant buffet or pizza/salads- we were given open-access cups for sodas without lids- kind of challenging to get drinks and a large pizza back to one's room. When we entered the room, it was so cold that I had concerns about the ac unit at that point. The AC wasn't working properly- set at 75, it felt 65. The only way to communicate or get information was through a fairly outdated app. The kids running overhead from 5 am on sounded like elephants- I assume they were kids. We had a kids cabin suite so the size was nice, it was clean. We've stayed at this Great Wolf, and others before but this time it was not a pleasant visit. On our wing of the hotel, for the entire wing, there was one operating washer and dryer so if you needed to utilize it, you had to hope to get. ![]() ![]()
